Thaipusam cerebration is over. Lots of appreciative thanks to the Hindu activists for their persistence in seeking the administration to grant the day of Thaipusam as a public holiday. All of us have a much needed rest day yesterday.

Prior to the Thaipusam, I was told that, there are SMS going around asking Malaysians of Hindu faith to boycott the famous Batu Cave temple. This morning, the MSM have reported that there are more than 1 million people visited the temple, and the SMS campaign has failed to convince the Hindu devotee to boycott the Batu Cave temple. However, the blogsphere reported otherwise. The usual crowd at Batu Cave has declined substantially. Which is which? Do we believe the MSM or the blogsphere? But one thing is certain, the attendance of devotees at Batu Cave temple did dropped substantially. So the fact is, there are indeed many Hindu devotees decided to boycott the Batu Cave temple and instead go to other smaller Hindu temple to perform their annual Thaipusam rites.

Sad to note that, sacred temple and religious event such as Thaipusam, has been misused by politicians to launch political attacks against their opponents. God has nothing to do with infidels's political differences, don't drag God into it.

Most of the MSM are emphasizing that there are more than 1 million people visited Batu Cave temple. Really? The MSM also provide extensive written coverage of the MIC president, Samy Vellu, and the Thaipusam event at Batu Cave temple. It does gave me an impression that, they are trying their level best to portray to the general pubic that Samy Vellu still has considerable and majority support from Malaysians of Hindu faiths.

Places of worship should be opened to all irrespective of the situation. To turn away those who came to seek refuge is I feel going against why the place was set up in the first place. Places of worship is above politics, material possession and unkindness.

Here is a real life incident related to me by an old priest.
On one occassion in the 70s', there was a guy who came to his place of worship pretending to ask for religious advice. Somehow the old priest knew his main intention was to seek refuge and asked him what he was running from and why was he keeping a knife tied to his leg. The man was startled and immediately confessed the truth. From there onwards, the man came every year to help out in the place of worship's annual celebration and other charity work. Though he had not completely turned over a new leaf, the old priest said he was much straightened up.

By the way I am not a reliqious person.

They will do almost anything and everything including dragging the god's name for their cause... but they can't lie to god whom has eyes to see them do wrong... and will punish those whom have sinned thru their entire life journey....

They crowd turnout was low.My sis in law used to go there annually. There was no thaipusam euphoria this year, she said..Divine life society annually prepare meals for 20000 devotees. Most of the food had gone to waste.

They TV3 showed huge turnout and it shocked me.Little to realise later that they could have used 2007 Thaipusam clippings. You can never no them. They are liars of the highest order.

What is sad and wrong is Samy Vellu don't get it that it almost over for him. It does not matter what whether he wins in Sg Siput or how many seats MIC wins/loses. Everybody will be looking at the popular vote of the Indians for BN as a proxy whether he Samy Vellu has a mandate to lead MIC. In other words, anything less than 50% Indian vote nationwide is saying Samy must go. If they can get this boycott done via SMS without official campaign, its quite clear Indians vote for BN will be less than 50%. Its a forgone conclusion.

We can prove Samy was wrong by voting for the Opposition and ensure Samy is defeated in Sg.Siput.

Those who doubted the boycott will not work, and Indians will return to BN stand shamefaced. The split is irrevocable.

Those who doubt that BN will not only lose their two thirds but hardly have a majority will also be shamefaced! Cos from now to elections is a long way, and anything can happen.

One million is just rubbish. Those who tuned into ASTRO saw nothing but clips of the year 2004 to 2007. Goes to show how one can lie. Citizens are not stupid like some politicians who consistently lie manipulating statistics to suit themselves. Remember the HINDRAF rally? The IGP said there were only 4000 in the crowd, and in the same page there was a statement that 4000 policemen were deployed to control the crowd. How interesting, one policeman to one rally participant.

Let us not forget the deeds of the 5 Hindraf leaders that are under detention. One could choose to question the strategies employed by Hindraf but they sacrifies theirs careers and "comfy" standings to fight for the injustice towards Malaysian Indians in particular and Malaysians in general.

Most political so called leaders are to secured and are afraid of losing that security that they choose not to see the actual truth. A fine example is Samy Velu"s visit to KG. Jawa.....his hench men were asking the ppl to keep quiet !!! Even they know Sam is not interested in hearing the grievances of the ppl.

MSM are pathetic, one day, they report of 1 million turnout, the next day, they report of foods being thrown away because the numbers of devotees are less as compared to previous years.

mr vellu did not misled the individuals , the individuals themselves have to be blamed, he just like a cunning fox made use of the majority who are always blinded by alcoholism, movies, serials, waste of money in breaking thousand of coconuts, pouring out millions of liters of milk, provision of food to general public as if none of the individuals visiting the temples had not had a meal before in their life.

to the fact, these individual only blame the government but infact one thing to realize is a movement, an awareness should have been there for all the individuals. They pray and pray and pour money blindly with absolute diregard towards the societies tamil school's economic plight. if each individuals had contributed rm10/= to a school, the individuals need not beg the government to help them.

dear individual help yourselves first, before requesting help from corrupt government....i believe the movement had started the ball rolling, just be with them and continue to contribute in any possible means......mainly only to schools.

If Malaysian Indians are not able to see things the right way, even the almighty may not be able to save them. Thaipusam is a ritual and 1 million people gathered...are you gila Samy Vellu. You are telling others gila...and you are real gila. Are you a real architect...no wonder the calculation errors made a lot yr projects collapse. Out of 2.2 million Indians in Malaysia there is only about 1.8 million Hindus and you are saying 1 million gathered at YOUR Batu Caves. Pls come out of the caves and start learning numbers. Your lies have drove you GILA.
Are you not shamed to see what the Indian community had done to you...if 1 million people hv gathered at Batu Caves ... are all the households empty than....
Do you know, the hindus came in hundreds of thousands to smaller temples around Malaysia just to teach you and yr crony Nadarajah the Chairman of the temple a lesson.
The DOOMSDAY for you and Nadarajah has started...
