Reforms can’t be achieved through window-dressing. It involves a paradigm shift. It involves revolutionary changes. Sometimes the mere ballot can’t achieve this. Sometimes only the bullet can bring about the changes we would like to see.

Pak Lah proud of judiciary reforms and MACC work
New Straits Times
Changes in the judiciary and forming the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) are among the achievements that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is proud of. “Changes are already done in the judiciary. On combating corruption, the MACC has already been established to further strengthen efforts,” he said during a dinner organised by the Kuala Lumpur Business Club at a hotel here last night.
“It may not be the best, but it is a beginning. I am confident that there will be more amendments to improve the legislations,” Abdullah said, adding that he was happy to have been able to fulfil what he had set out to accomplish.
He said the people must be responsible despite having an increased level of freedom to express themselves during his tenure as Prime Minister. “I know I have a higher level of tolerance but if we were to allow more freedom, the people must be responsible. The media as well as bloggers should also be more responsible when disseminating information,” Abdullah said.
Asked whether he would follow former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s footsteps and blog after he steps down, Abdullah said: “I’m not going to blog. But I would love to play more golf and plant vegetables as well as grow fruit trees.”
He also urged the public to continue to work hard during the global economic crisis as the nation has weathered many challenges in the past. “We must also believe in our ability to survive. That is, in fact, my personal philosophy,” he added.
Abdullah said although the private sector was usually the agent of growth during such economic downturns, the Government must be the agent of economic recovery. “This is because we can execute policies and changes to boost the troubled economy. This is what we have to do and it is what we are doing,” he said.
Asked to divulge the focus of the second stimulus package, Abdullah asked the people to be patient, as he would announce its details on March 10. “The various ministries were asked to give suggestions on what to include in the package. But what is more important is that effective spending is practised,” he said. “We can have a larger package this time but it must be implemented wisely or else it would be a waste of money,” he added.
Abdullah said the country’s aim to achieve growth this year despite the economic crisis was still realistic if the task was given priority. “Such effective spending must be targeted at specific projects to improve the country’s performance and growth,” he said, adding that the plan must also ensure that retrenchment is minimised.

Police reports lodged against MACC head
Charles Ramendran, The Sun
Members of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition lodged police reports today against the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan over his alleged discriminate disclosure on the corruption probe on Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim last week. PKR National Youth wing leader Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin said a total of 36 police reports have been lodged nationwide urging police to probe Ahmad Said for making allegedly making a reckless statement over the investigations on Khalid.
"The investigation papers are confidential documents and the law clearly states that only the Attorney-General decides if the case should go to court but Ahmad Said has done otherwise by making the statement," he said.
Earlier, at 1.15pm at the Shah Alam district police headquarters Shamsul accompanied Selangor PKR Youth chief Khairul Anuar Ahmad Zainuddin and Selangor Pas Youth deputy chief Kamal Hassan both who lodged police reports on the matter. Khairul said Ahmad Said had gone against lawful procedures when he revealed that the MACC has enough evidence to charge Khalid.
"By making the statement, Ahmad Said had assumed Khalid is guilty and was trying to influence the AG Chamber's decision on the case. This is very serious as Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is the Menteri Besar of Selangor and such irresponsible statements coming from the highest official of the MACC can be detrimental to the state," he said.
Khairul said the MACC should work at equal speed and efficiency investigating the tens of police reports of graft allegations lodged against former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohd Khir Toyo in the past. "There are at least 60 graft reports against Khir where it's status remains unknown. How is it they were not probed by the MACC with the same promptness given to Khalid's case," he questioned.
Ahmad Said had made statement to the media last week saying the MACC had enough evidence to charge Khalid over two allegations of graft namely - the use of state funds in purchasing cows for slaughter and for the maintenance of his sports car. His statement drew flak from Khalid's fellow coalition members who lambasted the MACC head for being biased in handling the case.

Let’s get one thing very clear, Pak Lah. Sending a thief to catch a thief is NOT called reforms. Reform means Hijrah. Other words you can use in place of reforms are renaissance, change, transform, revolutionise, alter, new beginning, modify, amend, adjust, make changes, correct, fine-tune, tweak, polish-up, etc.
I really don’t know how long you still have as Malaysia’s Prime Minister. Many say you will be gone in just over a month. Some say, with wishful thinking in their voices, you shall stay on beyond 1 April 2009. I suppose you can always phone Najib Tun Razak on 1 April and say to him, “April fool!” That may help Rosmah lose at least ten kilograms of blubber brought on by worrying about whether she is going to become ‘First Lady’ after all -- notwithstanding the fact there is no such thing as First Lady in Malaysia (and even if there was it would be the Raja Permaisuri Agong and not the Prime Minister’s wife who would be that First Lady).
On the matter of First Lady, in terms of protocol, only the Raja Permaisuri Agong is mentioned in the Federal Constitution of Malaysia. Take a look at Article 32 of the Federal Constitution.
Article 32:
● (1) There shall be a Supreme Head of the Federation, to be called the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, who shall take precedence over all persons in the Federation and shall not be liable to any proceedings whatsoever in any court.
● (2) The Consort of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (to be called the Raja Permaisuri Agong) shall take precedence next after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong over all other persons in the Federation.
Note Article 32(1) says: who shall take precedence over all persons in the Federation and shall not be liable to any proceedings whatsoever in any court.
And Article 32(2) says: the Raja Permaisuri Agong shall take precedence next after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong over all other persons in the Federation.
This means the Raja Permaisuri Agong is above even the Prime Minister and certainly way above the Prime Minister’s wife. The truth is, there is no such thing as Deputy Prime Minister in the Constitution. The post does not exist. This means there is also no such thing as a Deputy Prime Minister’s wife or ‘Second Lady’. Rosmah Mansor just does not exist. She is a non-person. She does not appear in the protocol list and is not listed in the Constitution.
Now, that brings me to one important issue. How can I be arrested and charged for Criminal Defamation -- allegedly against Rosmah Mansor? Who the fuck is Rosmah Mansor? She does not exist. She is a non-person. She is irrelevant. According to the Constitution, there is no post of Deputy Prime Minister. So there is no post of ‘Second Lady’. For that matter, there is not even a post of First Lady. There is only the Raja Permaisuri Agong and that is all. All other women are just wives of their husbands who are in office and hold no special status in society.
In short, there is no way I can be charged for Criminal Defamation against Rosmah when she holds no special position in government. She is just Najib’s sex partner and nothing more than that -- albeit a registered one amongst the many unregistered ones, and some dead ones, that he has. Rosmah is not as important as she imagines herself to be. She has no status in the Constitution. She should stop imagining herself as someone important or someone who has a special place in society.
Anyway, back to the issue of the reforms that Pak Lah is so proud of. You want reforms; let me talk about reforms. How serious is Pak Lah about Reforms? He has about a month left -- unless he wants to play a dirty on Najib and stay beyond 1 April. Is Pak Lah prepared to officially abolish the New Economic Policy and replace it with a Non-Discrimination Act? Is Pak Lah prepared to abolish the Internal Security Act and replace it with a Bill of Rights? Is Pak Lah prepared to abolish the Official Secrets Act and replace it with the Freedom of Information Act? Is Pak Lah prepared to amend/reform the University and University Colleges Act, the Police Act, the Publication and Printing Presses Act, the Societies Act, the Sedition Act, the Criminal Defamation law, Emergency Ordinance, and many, many more? If not, then jangan cakaplah!
It takes more than just talk to see real reforms. Islam, just like all religions, makes reforms mandatory. And in Islam it is called Hijrah. It is about moving from one plane to another. Pak Lah should know this. After all, is he not a religious scholar from a family line of prominent religious scholars? Hijrah is the basic foundation of Islam. It is the time when the Islamic Hijrah calendar starts. It is about how Islam entered its second phase with the migration of Prophet Muhammad from Mekah to Medina.
Without the Hijrah, Prophet Muhammad would have been dead meat. Islam would never have existed. And Malays, today, would remain Hindus and Buddhists like they were in the beginning.
So Hijrah is very important. It is the basic foundation of all religions, in particular Islam. Hijrah involves reforms. And that is something Malaysia is far from achieving in spite of how proud Pak Lah may be feeling about the reforms he has achieved.
Reforms can’t be achieved through window-dressing. It involves a paradigm shift. It involves revolutionary changes. Sometimes the mere ballot can’t achieve this. Sometimes only the bullet can bring about the changes we would like to see.

of UMNO fits the bill.
UMNO is lost in their filthy greed and could not care less what happens to this Nation.
Our quest for a better Malaysia cannot be achieved as long as PDRM does not stay
neutral.
Sticks and stones cannot defeat chemical spay and bullets.
The only recourse is through the ballot.
To create CHAOS is also not the alternative as Martial Law imposed will be UMNO's PIE.

I am actually frowning upon your statement RPK. You mean to say that Hindu and Buddhist are/were inferior to Islam?..and with the emergence of Islam, those who converted became much "superior"..? I am a Sikh, we do not discriminate any religion nor do we consider ours superior and others backward religions. I strongly suggest you amend that line.

Yes I share the sentiments "Sometimes only the bullet can bring about the changes we would like to see." What is bullet when one have an Arsenal of C4, F16. we need to learn Ghandi's way
You see Malaysia is technically an Illegal Country, formed by the signature of an Illegal Agong who illegally signed to have Singapore Expelled. malaysian does this make sense unless one is Racist. You see in the name of Racist Nationalist Malay power, fearing they will lose something (which turn out to be EVERYTHING that UMNO have created their UMNO-RACE).
Unfortunately because of the Illegal Agong Act, those that hold the Bullet are the Supreme UMNO Race 98%. To have Change we need Allah to show them as he had shown Raja Petra.the beauty of diversity without prejudice. But waiting for this change is like waiting for Hell to Freeze over!
Everything is a LIE in Malaysia and I am sick of living the Lie.today I just Puncture an UMNO MP Car.simple Mat Kilau act a few long nails on a square piece of wood. bend down to tie shoe lace.place wood right under back wheel.20 minutes later watching from a distance, driver fixing tyre.UMNO MP on mobile looking for taxi

Rosmah Eyesore is no lady. I've seen better looking things on Animal Planet. If she is Najis'sex partner, then God Is Great as he's already in hell.
You look at these 2 and you look at the quality of leaders across the world. With DUMNO at the helm we are condemned to incompetent, lazy, pretenders who care NOTHING for this country. These aren't leaders as their whole basis for thinking is that they don't believe they serve the people, but its the people who serve THEM. With this fundamental flaw, they condemn us to banna republic type "leaders".
We will never have a person like a Mandela. Instead we will be on par with Marcos, Noriega, Mugabe, etc. - Kita hanya main dalam Division 5 - bukan Premier League.
If Bodowi was a real man, then he would plough through with REAL reform as he is on his way out. His DUMNO friends would block him, but at least it would bring them out for what they are.
Instead he spews rubbish from his mouth that is the COMPLETE opposite of what is happening. The rakyat are waking up to you and DUMNO is so out of touch it doesn't even know it. Lucky they are not Pinnochio's brothers otherwise we would need much bigger ballrooms to house them when they speak. Maybe Bodowi IS Pinnochio's brother, but the mentally disabled one as he's too dumb to know when he's lying.

BN is using MACC to investigate car and cows. This made Lim Kit Siang write the following in his blog:
Parliament and the nation were told that MACC was going to become another ICAC (Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption) respected world-wide for its uncompromising and no-nonsense commitment against corruption without fear or favour for position, status or influence.
In less than two months, the MACC has become a joke. Instead of building public confidence in its journey to become another ICAC, feared and respected by all, it has quickly become a joke, reduced into a “Malaysian Agency for Car and Cows” for the Barisan Nasional government to victimize Pakatan Rakyat leaders.
Pak Lah, nevermind the car and cows. Everyone knows that is not a corruption case.
Remember what you said? You wanted corruption cases reported by Umno members to be investigated before the March election? Have the MACC completed investigating the 900 cases? If MACC cannot investigate all of them in time, could MACC focus on the cases that involve those standing for election? If anyone is guilty of corruption, then they cannot be a candidate for Umno election. Pak Lah, can or not?

To commence on Hijrah, one must determine which direction is the correct path, then you go in that direction. Sadly for Pak Lah, he announced the vehicles for the journey. But the journey has hardly begun. Malaysians are still waiting for the vehicles to move in the correct direction.
Pak Lah, surely you remember the “peribahasa” (proverb) which your elders taught you “Biar lambat asal selamat” (better slow but safe). If you want to go on a journey, you must take care along the way, so that you will reach your destination safely.
If you really wanted reforms against corruption, you must enable the MACC to have uncompromising and no-nonsence commitment against corruption without fear or favour for position, status or influence. Another thing. As a leader, you cannot start a journey and “cabut” after the first few steps, you must continue to the end. Do complete the job properly. Stay for another term and continue your reforms on corruption. We don’t mind if you are a little slow, but we want you to complete what you started. Show us you are a leader who does what he says.

Mr PM,
Before you enter our history books as the worst PM in our 51 year history, it is time to do some memorable things.
Clean up the police, AG's office, EC, Judiciary, MACC before you step down. Then only will you become a household name to be revered. Otherwise, you will not only be failing in your duty to the Rakyat, but will have to answer to your God for all your failings. For those to whom greatness is bestowed, great deeds and sacrifices are expected. There is no free ride. Do you really believe that leaving Malaysia in the hands of your current deputy in Umno is the right thing to do? Will he just not bring in a new round of Mahathirism? Wouldn't that be setting the country backwards? You have the destiny of the whole nation in your hands, and you will be remembered as the PM who fell asleep all over the place.

Didn't Jeanne go with him at that time, and they weren't married. The rumours were that she wasn't even properly divorced at that time. So who paid for her trip then huh? Was it rakyat's money, or personal money? Who paid for the visas etc?

Bandit,
Read it properly.. RPK didn't mention inferior. Can you please tell me who is the founder of Hinduism? Hinduism is actually not a religion, its a way of life.. for example (only) (eg. taking only to religion )If X=human race 100%, A=christians 40%, B=Muslims 40%. Then A B = 80%. The balance 20% is called Hindus..
To become A & B there are procedures.. But,nobody can become X because you are already born X and there is no procedure to become X.
There is no superior religion, its all a way of life.. but its the lack of understanding / misinterpretation(politics) that led to present racially polarized world..
This was not the point of RPKs article.. read other parts..

These two paras would put Malaysian in bloody bad mood and the hardcore poor in the kampung in fits, hysteria if they have knowledge of their leader who does nothing but only talk cock.
Do you have the conscience? One who did nothing(nothing has improved in fact deteriorated) and then goes into hibernation with all the "luxuries" while people keeps "hoping" AND gasping for livelihood!

What paradigm shift we are talking about when one does not know even what paradigm he or she is holding on to?
Before we want to shift our paradigm we must have a secure paradigm in hand first. In Malaysia our paradigm have become Rojak. A paradigm is a mindset and a mind concept based on one historic life and culture. We have come to a stage where we don't know who we are and where we come from. In other words we do not have any paradigms at all. How to shift?
Sometimes some Malaysian (including leaders and corporate people)behaves inhuman (near to animals paradigms). since 1970, the goverment have change the mindset of the people to be racist, capitalist, corrupt, inhuman, selfish, self centered etc etc.
How many teachers today really dedicated to groom and teach children? Many teachers care more about their intestine and prefer to make it longer so they can swallow more in rather than grooming the kids to be better citizens.
How many government servants, police, armed forces are willingly to served the people and the nation sincerely?
Look at the Judges... many of their hands are dirty and want to clean other people's hands... Some of the judges are so unprofessional and don't even know how to make sound judgment.
Politician are worse still... not to say those in BN, but even in the oppositions... all like shit and care more about themselves more than the poor rakyat and votes...
And the big chunck of the product of 1970 change is the general people... The people of Malaysia... from friendly becomes unfriendly, from kesopanan becomes biadap, from setia becomes derhaka...
The government try to change the youth by introducing the NS and NGO to BTN. You can never bent a stiff bamboo if not from its shoots. You must start it from young. The Scouts is the best methods of reforming and it is global and it soes teach young people to be good. But politician wants to make fast bucks by forming other UNIFORM bodies in school so that they can get some money in producing the uniforms. In Malaysia schools there are 29 types of uniform bodies but non is focusing to its objectives. In thailand and Indonesia, all normal school only have scouts and no other... boys and girls are not confused.
Malaysian have no paradigm to shift!!!

Abdullah said: “I’m not going to blog. But I would love to play more golf and plant vegetables as well as grow fruit trees.”
What a loads of red herring baloney, his real agenda
is this,
badawi boat..
Malaysian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmed Badawi arrived in Bodrum yesterday to see his boat which he ordered four months ago. Badawi arrived in Bodrum at 1.30 am with a private jet that belongs to Malaysia Airlines.
The head official of Milas, Bahattin Atci, and Malaysian businessman Ananda Krishnan, who is the sixth richest man in Asia, welcomed Badawi. Kamil Sezgun, who is the director of Kobra Yachting and Tourism Ltd Co, was also present.
Badawi and his friend Krishan went to Gokova for fishing with a luxury motor yacht belonging to Kremala Holding, which was brought over here from Malta. The luxury yacht “Obsessions” is 40-meter long, made in the Netherlands and the captain of the yacht is Cavit Kabak. The yacht was anchored in Milta Marina.
Badawi said he loves Bodrum and south Aegean and the Mediterranean so much. It’s a great pleasure for him to be here fishing and resting on the line (horizon) that connects blue and green (ocean and land).
The boat will cost 8 million dollars
The boat is made of Akaju, Maun, Sipo and Brimanya’s tree which is imported from South Africa. It is expected to be completed in 16 months. Some 60 people are involved in the construction of the boat. The boat will be delivered after 12 months (since he ordered it four months ago). The capacity of the boat is for 14 people and the length is 44 meters. The boat will cost 8 million US dollars.

Vineeth Menon, I dont know what angle you are coming from but I do agree Hinduism is a way of life and so could buddhism be. Pete is talking about "reforms". Meaning "improvement". By suggesting that "malays would have remain Hindus or Buddhists, what is the message being implied here? That islam only has improved over the others? Yes we may talk about races here. For example...Certain Malays refuse to change because of years receiving aid from the Government but the chinese and other races quickly adapt to these environment and could still "improve" themselves financially and economically despite "difficult" circumstances because they reformed.... Religion should be left alone and suggesting that a race with a certain religion is superior will only draw criticism. read this paragraph again slowly Mr Menon.
"Without the Hijrah, Prophet Muhammad would have been dead meat. Islam would never have existed. And Malays, today, would remain Hindus and Buddhists like they were in the beginning."....
What if there was really no "Islam". Was remaining a "Hindu" or a "Buddhist" is being a "dead meat".....?
I maintain that it is out out taste for the respect of my fellow Hindus and Buddhist brothers.

RPK, YES, it is time to bring out the SILVER BULLET. The only nonlethal and legitimate weapon (besides the vote) left for the rakyat to express our dissatisfaction is ECONOMIC SANCTION. Especially in these recession and depression periods, the economic repercussions of just a slight change in our preference to deploy the money we spend in consuming our basic daily expenditure will be magnified many folds. Start with boycotting the MSM. Next, patronize only rakyat friendly establishments for our daily needs. If we keep on this practice for several months, all the pro-BN cronies will feel the pain.

Yes, absolutely agree on that! I remember the exact point being emphasized in a Sociology Class taken many, many, many years ago. (No, won't tell you my agesmilies/cheesy.gif )Throughout history, every society goes through stages of growth and one of them is, 'revolutionary change'. It's painful, with much hostility at times. In those years, while reading... I'd wonder when Malaysia would be maturing to that stage. It's just begun, it seems. Many more stages to go before we achieve a matured democratic society. Dear Bandit, sastrika
When we read statements, it is helpful if we take two factors into account-
1) Background and convictions of the author - If you have read RPK's articles for some time , you would understand that he never wilfully denigrates other religious beliefs. One must understand what the author stands for.
2) The context in which the words are written, lets look at it again
quote"Without the Hijrah, Prophet Muhammad would have been dead meat. Islam would never have existed. And Malays, today, would remain Hindus and Buddhists like they were in the beginning."....
He is saying that without "hijrah" or reform prophet Muhammad would not have stewarded the religion to what it is today (dead meat is merely expressive) in fact he is saying it would have died out.
He is further chastising UMNO to say that their default route is hinduism and buddhism, and without hijrah Islam would never be on equal footings with these two religions.
he is chastizing UMNO who purport to be the champions of Islam, yet who do not follow the tenets that made Islam what it is today, in short he is calling UMNO's "hijrah" hypocrisy.
He merely states that they were likely to have remained buddhist or hindu, by historical fact, he did not say that these two faiths were inferior.
Please read again bro-peace.

I don't see how there can be reforms in bodohland in our lifetime. Maybe someday, when the country is bankrupt, when all its wealth is in the hands of 5% of the population, majority of the ppl struggling to survive..... maybe bn voters will revolt & face the bullets on behalf of us supporters of PAS/DAP/Keadilan.
This country must be given enough rope to hang itself. It will because we still have around 50% of bn voters to make that happen. Let the ship sink bcos the passengers on it deserve their fate; the rest of us are merely collateral damage unless one can dropped a boat & row away in time.

The Kuhnian "paradigm shift" merely refers to a commonly accepted way of thinking and behavior, and how such habits of thought and behavior could be replaced with a different set. RPK has used the term correctly and his reference to the Hijrah is rather clever.
From my understanding of the article, RPK was merely stating a historical fact, that especially for the Malay community Islam had replaced Hinduism and Buddhism. I don't think the idea of superiority - or inferiority - of any religion is indicated or intended.
Just a thought - if RPK, with Marina's permission, could somehow satisfy Rosie's libido, perhaps he wouldn't have been hit with the ISA. But of course RPK would probably prefer to cut off his whatyoumightcallit than to do that.

In my next article, I am going to appeal to whoever is going to be the next Umno Youth Leader at the end of March to join us in this struggle to build one nation of one people.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Okay, okay, okay. I know. I have not been writing much these last few days. And I have not written anything yet today as well. Well, I am busy, okay. I just had to make another trip to the lawyer’s office today to sign some documents thicker than Rosmah Mansor’s waistline. And you all know how porky Rosmah is. (For those Malays not fortunate enough to have received an English education, porky comes from the word pork and is normally used to describe someone….well....fat like a pig).
Anyway, I just have an hour to spare before I have to rush off for my farewell party. The guys and gals are throwing a ‘Bon Voyage to Kamunting’ party for me tonight in anticipation that on Monday I will be making my way back to the detention centre.
But lo and behold, my lawyers just called to say that my appeal against the three-member Federal Court’s decision to reject my four applications is going to be reviewed by another quorum of judges. I suppose that would mean the Federal Court will not be able to send me back to Kamunting on Monday after all -- at least not until after the judicial review, and only if the second quorum of judges upholds the Federal Court’s decision. If the judicial review is of the opinion that the Federal Court had erred, or was indeed biased, then back to the drawing board we go. I will then be able to get a second bite of the cherry.
Hmm….my ‘Bon Voyage to Kamunting’ party tonight is instead going to be a celebration party after all. We appear to have at least been able to delay my departure, even if ultimately I am still going to lose. I suppose winning one battle is good enough at this stage even if I am not going to win the war in the end.
Okay folks, let’s party. I have been given a few extra days of freedom. And if things work out well in the end, I might still be around to campaign for the three Bukit by-elections come April.
When you have very little left, even small things are big blessings. For example, when you are forced to walk around barefooted in jail, the mouldy rubber slippers they give you after the first two weeks of detention is a king’s ransom as far as you are concerned. Maybe some of you have seen those OKT (orang kena tuduh) walking barefooted when you went to court to attend my trials? Well, that is what we are subjected to under detention or when in jail.
Okay, I gotta go now. The party is going to start in an hour or so. For those who will not be partying with me tonight, I shall leave you with this song to remind you about what our struggle is all about. It is about building one nation of one people. And that means an end to racism.
In my next article, I am going to appeal to whoever is going to be the next Umno Youth Leader at the end of March to join us in this struggle to build one nation of one people. I will ‘educate’ him on what it entails. And if he shares our aspiration and endorses our struggle of building one nation of one people, I am going to forget he is Umno and I will work with him to build a better Malaysia. If not, then I am going to make it my struggle to bring him down.
There comes a time
When we head a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
Oh…and it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We can't go on
Pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere, will soon make a change
We are all a part of
God's great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need
[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me
Oh…….send them your heart
So they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand
[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
Oh…..there's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me
When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change will only come
When we stand together as one
[Chorus: repeat as many times as you like till the cows come home]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Now the most important is the raised consciousness. And more and more aware people who can go beyond Falsehood; and abhor from this Evilness; see and speak to the Truth of its nature, then there is hope.
Like followers of great modern soul like Martin Luther King and Gandhi; who emanate the Light; many enlightened Malaysian souls and bloggers such as Antares (Magick River), RPK (Malaysian Today), Dr. Bakri, Dr. Azly, Farish Noor, Anil Netto, MarGeeMar the Scribe, Malaysians Unplugged Uncensored and many, many others who are the custodian to keep the light shinning then Malaysia will have HOPE.
People who use religion and race; twist it and try to lead us with their Stone Age consciousness of exclusivity and blindness will be vanquished.
The people are already awakened and many more is awakening. The light of Truth of Justice, Freedom and Equality is shinning across the Malaysian shores.
How much more EVILs before they realize their game is up and everything they suppose to represent is merely a disgusted disguise of their own self serving need and exhibits their most UGLINESS and the worst of mankind.
Once the Light is shone, darkness will disappear. The people are already smarter than their leaders.
That is why all the things they do now are so petty and silly; and a joke and totally disgusting to us.
UMNO is a RACIST Bastard no more than that. Most disgusting and shameless group of elitist people.

One Nation, One People. Malaysia in Utopia? UMNO has always been One Nation, One Race, One Religion. And they fought hard for the concept. True to the ideals but antagonising for the 'squatter' or 'immigrant' Malaysians. Get the kitchen blender out and mix a portion of one of the other. Then we have a true Malaysia and a true Malaysian identity. Until then, it's only a pipedream.

Among the 3 contenders as umno youth leader, the worst ba$tard would be khir tempe toyol dari Indonesia! Second worst would be the guy whom we perceived as opportunistic, unprincipled & doubtful abt his oxford degree . The "so-called best" among the worst,is Mukhriz although he is Dr M's son. Maybe Mukhriz is fortunate if he inherited more of Tun Ismail Ali's good genes.
Well Pete, I read Mr NH Chan's piece - it's all abt perception. Obviously, if the Judges value their reputation, they shld do the right thing & free RPK. RPK is certainly no threat to bodohland or any of us at all. In fact, RPK is one of the most cherished respected men in Msia at this moment.
It really makes no difference to Najib or his fat wife whether they put RPK away & leave him alone. Najib is definitely going ahead to be PM; if Najib wants some of the rakyat to accept him as the new PM, the first thing Najib shld do is: leave RPK alone. But if anything happens to RPK, it is possible Najib's tenure as PM may be the shortest in bodohland's history. Arrogance of power doesn't pay all the time.

Dear Pete,
First of all I hope the temporary relief will be a permanent one, we will dua’ for you on this.
Now, what is this all about educating the next UMNO Youth? There is a Malay saying, “mati, hidup balik pun”, they will not change! UMNO will always be UMNO, “dulu, kini dan selamanya”.
Try educating them not to take bribe or to steal the peoples’ money. They just can’t do it! It is in the fabric of their culture. . ., their lifeblood! It is just like asking Khir Toyo not to eat “tempeh” or asking Porky to stop “shopping” with the peoples’ money in London. . ., they just can’t do it. Even if you bring a “guru from langit” also they can’t learn and change!
You are going to waste your time and it will surely be an effort in futile. I suggest you make use of the time to plan strategies to kick UMNO out of our political landscape. That would be better!

It would be easier for pigs to fly than ask UMNO youth leaders to think of Malaysians as one and our nation to treat all equally. When you have leaders like kerismuddin shouting for Malay supremacy, when you have the guy with 2 mohammad's in his name who has promised that the next May 13 will be more "dahsyat", and when you have Malay leaders who doesn't want others to question the Malays about their special rights and NEP, I would advise RPK not to raise his hopes too high. In fact, I would advise RPK to forget about this "project", and work with PR to build a new Malaysia. UMNO is rotten to the core, in fact it can be thrown away as bad rubbish.

Dear Khalifah RPK,
On hindsight, this unnecessary pandemonium could have been avoided by having “An Ombudsman Office” that transcends constitutional, judicial, political and socio-economic boundaries.
OMBUDSMAN: HISTORY and DEVELOPMENT
The modern use of the term began in Sweden, with the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman instituted in 1809, to safeguard the rights of citizens by establishing a supervisory agency independent of the executive branch.
A prototype of ombudsmen may have flourished in China during the Qin Dynasty (221 BC), and in Korea during the Joseon Dynasty The Romans may have also grappled with the problem
However, it was the example of the second Muslim Caliph, Umar (634-644) and the concept of Qadi al-Qadat (developed in Islamic law), which influenced the Swedish King, Charles XII. In 1713, fresh from self-exile in Turkey, Charles XII created the Office of Supreme Ombudsman, which soon became the Chancellor of Justice.[1] A parallel institution, the Parliamentary Ombudsman, was later established by the Riksdag, and it was this that the Scandinavian countries subsequently molded into its contemporary form.
In general, "ombudsman" refers to a state official appointed to provide a check on government activity in the interests of the citizen, and to oversee the investigation of complaints of improper government activity against the citizen
The major advantage of an ombudsman is that he or she examines complaints from outside the offending state institution, thus avoiding the conflicts of interest inherent in self-policing.
OMBUDSMAN FOR NATIONAL UNITY REFORMS by Dr Colin Abraham circa June 2008
1.Although there has yet to be any scientific analysis, this call for reforms has taken centre-stage, so that Malaysians from all walks of life now want to see reforms transcending constitutional, judicial, political and socio-economic institutions initiated and implemented as a matter of utmost urgency.
2.The failure to address such reforms and overcome the consequent arising social problems may well have been one of the reasons for what has been termed the “tsunami” election results.
3.It is to be expected that reforms in any modern multicultural democratic society would traditionally be opposed by the ruling class, the political elite, and the bureaucracy. The simple reason for this is that by definition, reforms challenge the status quo that invariably protects the interests of these groups, as a class, consolidating ethnic and racial identities in furtherance of this objective.
4.Indeed, even in the normal course of the decision-making process in the civil service the Prime Minister himself has drawn attention to the power wielded by the “Little Napoleons” who apparently make unilateral decisions off their own bat without consultation.
5.Indeed, with the current uncertain political situation we have today, it is absolutely imperative that we need to take the entire question of reforms outside the existing government avenues to move ahead.
6.Therefore it is my fervent hope that this Forum will strongly endorse the appeal to the Yang-Di-Pertuan Agong to appoint an Ombudsman to take full responsibility to undertake the entire reform program. In this task the latter will of course need to be advised by a consortium of NGO’s (excluding political parties) and look to the options available for implementation.

There are certain insane people with evil intention we need to neutralize - but we should avoid a clear cut you vs us total confrontation. I think Badawi might be open for that sort of considerations.

RPK,
Why would the next youth leader want to join you & build one nation for one people? Unity among the three races is the BIGGEST threat to umno's survival.
Umno survived decades by telling the Malays their rights are threatened by non-Malays, the lie abt non-Malays questioning Malay rights, non-Malays taking away political power, the concept of ketuanan Melayu & then threatening the non-Malays with another May 13.
I think, commencing now, everyone, regardless of ethnic origin or religion, shld sincerely work on unity among all races. Let us treat other races with patience, tolerance, respect & kindness. If your Malay colleagues are weak in certain areas, you shld help them, train them or guide them! Don't be so insecure to feel threatened if your counterpart improve.
In my office, we hv very efficient Malay staff trained by previous (Chinese) managers - it's healthy, staff are confident, efficient & co-operative. Nobody feels threatened & everyone works as a team! I always tell my Malay colleagues, pls give your kids a chance to master English, as most news on internet are in English. From now onwards, Malays must receive endless positive encouragement to self-improvement & training, to pick up various job skills, to put them together with non-Malays so they would be influenced to compete, to ask questions, to work hard together. I believe this is the path to unity & acceptance. More than 40 yrs ago, we were living in harmony until.... they made May 13.

LOL!!!! Keep the spirit, Malaysian brother. Now let us be real. It's also the other Malaysian races who did not get English Education may not get your joke. Anyway, why give the woman the time and attention?
I pray that God be with you and send his angels thru' those around you and who are also not directly involved with you to help you in anonymity, if necessary. May God's Glory and Blessing prevail during these times for you, your family and all Malaysian brothers and sisters who forge forward for one nation and one Malaysian people.

Ahmedneil, some of your comments can be very hurtful to UMNO and his dogs so please take care my friend. Although we have never met, don't know each other and are thousands of miles apart but we share the same goal, that's to make Malaysia a country for ALL Malaysians!

"The pen is mightier than the sword" was a famous phrase coined by Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839 for his play Richelieu; Or the Conspiracy. Even if Umno manage to shut down or oppressed vocal sounds against the government, many more are willing to take their place as the people will cannot be done against for a long time. The government may use guns, swords, police, and all sorts of intimidation tactics to try to silence us. But, can they go against the will of the people forever? I like this famous phrase written by one unknown author, "They can take away my pen, my house, and lock me up. But, they can't take away my mind!"

Dear Pete,
How are we going to change 50 years of BN racial segregation, let me list out some of the state sponsored "Apartheid in Malaysia":
1)Gradual zeroing of non-Malays in civil sector
2)Gradual reduction of non-Malay students in our public Universitiespolytechnics
3)Gradual removal of non-Malay participation in national sporting activities( an Indian Malaysian climbed the Everest---only get PJK),swim across the channel you get "Datukship"
4)Apply for bank account, you need to state your race and religion.
5)If you want to open a company, need 51% bumiputera equity.I told the officer I am a bumiputera, I was born here and will die here.He told me I m racists.
I still remember in my kampong days every festival we celebrated as Malaysian but nowadays people are taught that saying greetings on their festival days are unislamic. An experience I got from my niece, she came home from school long faced,a teacher told her she must sit among her own kind during their break time.
At this tender age the seed of segregation is being sowed,I shudder to think of the nations fate in the future.

You are quite correct Ms Amy Chan and Mr Joe. It is quite impossible to be Satu Bangsa, Satu Negara Malaysia. Yet, it is not too late.
Just like in America, peoples thinks only the Whites rule USA but now they have Mr Barack Obama as the US President. Yet again, USA is so vastly different from Malaysia. They don't really address themselves as Chinese ABC, Africans Americans, the Red Indian American, the Indian Americans, the Caucasian Americans, the Arab Americans (oops) but rather they are Americans. I worked in a very typical American company years ago set up shop in Malaysia and my ex-colleagues are from the USA and when they come to our office in the klang valley they don't say that, they just say I am an American or Canadian.
So, it may take awhile for Malaysia to achieve this One Bangsa, One Nation Malaysia. To many people, whether rich or poor, nationality and loyalty to the country is not of really paramount importance. Money rules, usually. However, do ponder, let's say you are a Billionaire, ok..loads of moolah. You want to buy your 4 seasnns homes around the world or even as simple, booking an Air Asia flight to London. What you must identify yourself? Malaysian passport, Malaysian birth certificate, Malaysian registered marriage certificate, Malaysian bank account (this is quite subjective somehow).
Supposingly, you are stateless or countryless, no passport, no IC (for domestic), will you be accepted to enter London for your holiday? Don't much about buying overseas properties, but i am sure you need somekind of identification.

Why does BN suddenly wants to recruit more non Malays working in the government hospitals? Most likely could be due to their current staff having difficulties taking cuti/holiday for Hari Raya. You go to any governemnt hospitals, you see mostly all Malay nurses. Imagine that, nearing Hari Raya Puasa, suddenly all wants to take leave! What is going to happen to the hospitals? All nurses gone home to their kampungs for cuti. What is going to happen to the patients..ayo.yo.
What does UMNO needs to send one dumb lawyer to London seeking advice?? ARE WE STILL UNDER THE BRITISH COLONY RULE NOW?? How desperate can UMNO gone to?? As though to say, all the judges, lawyers, legislatures in Malaysia are stupid and dumb (not that I don't respect you people). So, Pakatan also going to send some lawyer to go to London to see the QC??

DSAI is very quiet, what is he doing now?? Planning, strategising, kepala pening kah?? Abang Anwar (gua bodek sikit lah), don't you ever forget that at one time, you were Orang No. 2 in the country (Deputy Prime Minister) then, you tergopoh gapah (in the hurry) to be No. 1, that Pak Kerala mai Mahatir brought you down to your knees. Never forget that. Do not fail the second time, this time..if you fail, the whole rakyat will bring you down on your knees. You have 4 years (2008-2011?) to prove it. So long, Pakatan always pecah belah (different heads think differently all gone up bickering and we rakyat getting rather tired and sick of these charade), UMNO will always win. Remember, they have the money (Rakyat money) and all the legalities tunduk to them (bow to them, which i hope not!). UMNO has the freehand and kepala besar (big headed) to do as they wishes, while we sit here and look like some kind of idiots and not mentioning some Malaysians don't give two hoots about what is happening except only concern for the safety of their money and wealth (see, political stability brings wealth, no??).
Lim GE, you are complaining getting difficulties to get funding esp. from Federal govt. Did you not anticipate this going to happen?? Or are you just plain naive?? Stop complaining.
Do we know what happened to China? When the 2 leaders are fighting (Chiang KS & Sun YS parties), the civil wars, the Japanese move in quietly and Chinese betrayed Chinese worked with Japanese to bring down China under Japanese rule. Likely going to happen to Malaysia in the near future?? Apologies if i get my facts not really accurate.

DSAI & Pakatan geng wants to oust BN geng for good, it is like 'you want to rampas/take away my sarangnest'! This will cause a FIGHT. Basically, BN & Pakatan are wrestling to rule Malaysia. BN UMNO is very clear on this and is currently jahat and hostile towards Pakatan at the expense of the Rakyat money, resources and time.
While, Pakatan who also just baru 'bangun', woken up (sounds a bit like Pak Lah, huh) to realise this? After 3 defections and Eli Wong thingy, now only Pakatan realise that BN UMNO sedang bermusuhan with you fellas. Are you not kena KANTOI kah?? BN UMNO is not your kawan kawan, peng you, friend friend with Pakatan because you want to rampas/snatch their 'Rice Bowl'. So, Lim GE stop begging to the Fed govts. They keep stabbing you.
To the Chinese, it is always Survival first then loyalty comes second. If I cannot even survive on the basics what is the point of being loyal? That is the Chinese mentality in Malaysia. The world is their OYSTER, if they have the influence and money. Having a passport, IC, certificates are merely FORMALITIES. Just to get through the customs and immigration gates. Yes, we all pay taxes all around the world.

2. Rospukimah the pork-faced fatso plays badminton once a week in a Club in KL. Comments from the onlookers... short, fat slop, puffed up face like she belongs to a pygmy tribe in Africa. She will look even worse after a game.

We have to appeal to those in UMNO who are disillusioned with how dirty UMNO has became and how desperate the current global situation is. I am sure there are many who are willing to work with the people, the apolitical Barisan Rakyat, for a better world for all.
There are certain insane people with evil intention we need to neutralize - but we should avoid a clear cut you vs us total confrontation. I think Badawi might be open for that sort of considerations.

HE started by putting his kind in all over the area just like what UMNO did maybe 25 years ago. Same kind meaning those that will cheat, lie and corrupt anything to stay in power. So, this to me is just a gesture and maybe someone will hear it and rethink their position. But, other than that good title.

RPK,
Why would the next youth leader want to join you & build one nation for one people?
