(MySinchew) - The troubled Umno leadership has come under flak again from none other than Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, one of its veteran leaders. "Under its present leadership, is probably beyond reform," the Gua Musang MP wrote in his blog www.Razaleigh.com Friday (13 Feb).

"Our leaders are the problem, and they have structured the party, bullied and bought it, so that they cannot be replaced by those who would lead to serve," he said.

"Contrast the breadth of vision we had fifty years ago, and our method of naming and solving our problems then, even in the face of serious threats to our security, with how we conduct ourselves now, having surrounded ourselves with self-made threats while real challenges such as education and the economy go begging," he pointed out.

Ku Li, as he is popularly known, took a swipe at Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak, the party's number two man by saying,"

Umno's most recent achievement has been to wrest power by underhanded means from a democratically-elected state government. In doing so we came across as the party of the desperate, not the confident.

Najib takes credit for masterminding defections from the Pakatan Rakyat in Perak which led to a hung state assembly. In a highly controversial move, he went straight to the Istana and asked Sultan Azlan Shah to handover the government to Barisan by appointing a new Mentri Besar. The move is now being challenged in court.

"Contrast the broad field we ranged over, with the narrow stage we now strut before a shrinking audience," he said.

However, on a more optimistic note he said," But no other party can do what Umno once did, and must do again."
"Umno is a party with great deeds to its name."

Since Ku Li has come out to say about Amno this and that why is he still in a party that is beyond reform. Just cant understand this old man. If you dont know then it is OK but since you know why are you still sticking to it? If you really have a heart for the people join PR. You are most welcome. What did Amno do for the past 52 years? Making a few billionaires and do not care two hoots about the poor. Just wonder what is your next step Ku LI?

UMNO did nothing. It was its past leaders that led it to glory. And since they are dead, it's time that UMNO is burried alongside it's leaders before the current leaders futher damaged the party name.

UMNO is beyond reform because its members have come to realise that they can get rich quickly and enjoy extraordinary perks by joining the UMNOputras bandwagon.

BN's cloak-and-dagger underhanded coup has revealed to all and sundry the EXTENT unethicaL and immoral MEANS have used to seize power in the state. It is a short-term victory with far-reaching and long-lasting consequences for BN..The rakyat are justifiably angry and BN CAN NEVER EVER WIN any more elections for decades

Read between the lines lah you all. 'Under its present leadership' means that he wants to be PM. That's all. Another power grab just like the rest.

If he had any principles he would quit UMNO join PR, but obviously he is just trying to manoeuvre his way up within the establishment by talking about reform. Look where that got us with Pak Lah. Put not your trust in princes. Does anyone know about his past? I wouldn't be surprised it if were just as tainted as anybody else's in UMNO.

There are 3 diseases/problems which cannot be solved or cured: AIDS, stupidity and UMNO. So don't waste time and energy on a futile exercise.
